Whether you are into sports or not, we think you have potential to be a great runner! This non-competitive program is geared to equip you with self-confidence and encourage healthy living. We will be playing games and focusing on personal goals to accomplish throughout the program. Requirements: Sneakers, comfortable attire, and a water bottle
 
4:30 PM - 5:30 PM    Crafty Art for Kids - Crafty Art for Kids - Fall
Children will explore with paint, oil pastels, clay and other medium to create their own masterpieces. They will complete and take home a different art project each week!Requirements: Clothes that you don't mind getting paint on!Masks will be required when unable to maintain a six foot distance. The room and materials will be sanitized before and after each class. Participants will not have to wear a mask when at their table, as seating will be spread out over 6 feet apart. Coordinator: Roberta Baker**For the 10 AM Class - The last class (August 25th), class will be held from 5:45 PM - 6:45 PM due to the first day of school!!

Let your child experience the history and culture of Ireland. Classes are taught by sister duo, Catie and Hali from Thorne Academy of Irish Dance. Our fall classes are open to all skill levels. Parents are encouraged to drop off students for class at the side entrance of the JPCC. Information about purchasing formal Irish Dancing Gillies (shoes) and traditional school costumes will be given to new students.Class size is limited to 12 dancers so we can safely follow social distancing protocol. Class will be held inside the building. Face masks are required when we are inside. Dancers may remove their masks once they are escorted to their assigned dancing spots.  Dancers must dress in comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, sneakers and dancing shoes.  Class will be divided into smaller groups based on skill level once registrations are complete.Beginner-Bun Grad B New and returning dancers who are still mastering their steps. Adult Evening Yoga - Our new evening yoga class with Dawn is designed for a more individualized experience. We will take advantage of a longer savasana to allow you more time to destress and practice self care. The class is limited to seven participants and will run for 75 minutes. (No class on 10/12)Adult Morning Yoga - Let Dawn guide you through gentle yoga moves that are perfect for all levels. Learn breathing and relaxation techniques to take off the mat and out into the real world. Enjoy some stretching and leave class feeling calm and rejuvenated! This class is in a larger setting for a more group feel. Youth YogaDawns objective is to share her years of classroom experience and 20 year love of yoga to provide young people a tool kit of breathing, movement and meditation that can be applied to reduce stress, decrease anxiety and be less reactive as they move through life. Her program is designed to increase positive mindset, stimulate auditory processing and responsiveness, and increase concentration and focus. This playful class encourages self-expression as well as building social skills. Join us for family badminton! Badminton is the second most popular sport in the world (next to soccer). We welcome all levels of players. Wear sneakers and bring your own racket. Join us for family badminton fun! The top priority is to make sure everyone is safe and healthy while enjoying the fun of playing badminton. The following rules are strictly enforced throughout the program. Must wear mask when not playing Observe social distancing; keep at least 6 feet apart if not with the same family Use sanitizer, if provided, to clean your hands frequently Bring your own racket Serve only with the shuttlecock assigned to you Do not touch the shuttlecocks assigned to others; Push/hit back the shuttlecock with the racket to the other player for him/her to serve After each game, return your shuttlecock to the designated area so that it will be sanitized for the next game If you play doubles, try your best to minimize the switching of partners Player must pay for the monthly session in advance via the Parks and Recreation website to avoid handling cash exchange Any participant, including guardian or friend, who does not comply with any of the above rules is subject to leaving the Parks and Recreation facilities immediately when informed by the program coordinator, Parks and Recreation staff or New Milford town authorities Coordinator: Kamkeung Ho, Mark Pernerewski

Join us for family badminton! Badminton is the second most popular sport in the world (next to soccer). We welcome all levels of players. Wear sneakers and bring your own racket. Join us for family badminton fun! The top priority is to make sure everyone is safe and healthy while enjoying the fun of playing badminton. The following rules are strictly enforced throughout the program. Must wear mask when not playing Observe social distancing; keep at least 6 feet apart if not with the same family Use sanitizer, if provided, to clean your hands frequently Bring your own racket Serve only with the shuttlecock assigned to you Do not touch the shuttlecocks assigned to others; Push/hit back the shuttlecock with the racket to the other player for him/her to serve After each game, return your shuttlecock to the designated area so that it will be sanitized for the next game If you play doubles, try your best to minimize the switching of partners Player must pay for the monthly session in advance via the Parks and Recreation website to avoid handling cash exchange Any participant, including guardian or friend, who does not comply with any of the above rules is subject to leaving the Parks and Recreation facilities immediately when informed by the program coordinator, Parks and Recreation staff or New Milford town authorities Coordinator: Kamkeung Ho, Mark Pernerewski

Let your child experience the history and culture of Ireland. Classes are taught by sister duo, Catie and Hali from Thorne Academy of Irish Dance. Our fall classes are open to all skill levels. Parents are encouraged to drop off students for class at the side entrance of the JPCC. Information about purchasing formal Irish Dancing Gillies (shoes) and traditional school costumes will be given to new students.Class size is limited to 12 dancers so we can safely follow social distancing protocol. Class will be held inside the building. Face masks are required when we are inside. Dancers may remove their masks once they are escorted to their assigned dancing spots.  Dancers must dress in comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, sneakers and dancing shoes.  Class will be divided into smaller groups based on skill level once registrations are complete.Beginner-Bun Grad B New and returning dancers who are still mastering their steps. (No class on 10/12)Adult Morning Yoga - Let Dawn guide you through gentle yoga moves that are perfect for all levels. Learn breathing and relaxation techniques to take off the mat and out into the real world. Enjoy some stretching and leave class feeling calm and rejuvenated! This class is in a larger setting for a more group feel. Youth YogaDawns objective is to share her years of classroom experience and 20 year love of yoga to provide young people a tool kit of breathing, movement and meditation that can be applied to reduce stress, decrease anxiety and be less reactive as they move through life. Her program is designed to increase positive mindset, stimulate auditory processing and responsiveness, and increase concentration and focus. This playful class encourages self-expression as well as building social skills. Let your child experience the history and culture of Ireland. Classes are taught by sister duo, Catie and Hali from Thorne Academy of Irish Dance. Our fall classes are open to all skill levels. Parents are encouraged to drop off students for class at the side entrance of the JPCC. Information about purchasing formal Irish Dancing Gillies (shoes) and traditional school costumes will be given to new students.Class size is limited to 12 dancers so we can safely follow social distancing protocol. Class will be held inside the building. Face masks are required when we are inside. Join us for our first ever drive in trivia night! Limited to the first 50 registrants.$10 per vehicle. You must register ahead of time through the Parks and Recreation website. One registration covers one vehicle so only one person per vehicle is to register.YOU MUST INSTALL "SpeedQuizzing Virtual Buzzer" app to play. You will only need one person from your party to download the app. 5:30 PM - Cars will be allowed into the John Pettibone Community Center (2 Pickett District Road) parking lot closest to rt. 7. 6:00 PM - Trivia will start and run for one hourNo one is allowed to leave their vehicle or they will be asked to leave. We will guide you where to park, all spaces will have one car space in between each vehicle. Prizes will be awarded to the top contestants. If you win a prize, you must make an appointment to pick up your prize at the Parks and Recreation office.You will not be allowed to sit in the bed of your truck or anywhere outside of your vehicle. Let your child experience the history and culture of Ireland. Classes are taught by sister duo, Catie and Hali from Thorne Academy of Irish Dance. Our fall classes are open to all skill levels. Parents are encouraged to drop off students for class at the side entrance of the JPCC. Information about purchasing formal Irish Dancing Gillies (shoes) and traditional school costumes will be given to new students.Class size is limited to 12 dancers so we can safely follow social distancing protocol. Class will be held inside the building. Face masks are required when we are inside. Dancers may remove their masks once they are escorted to their assigned dancing spots.  Dancers must dress in comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, sneakers and dancing shoes.  Class will be divided into smaller groups based on skill level once registrations are complete.Beginner-Bun Grad B New and returning dancers who are still mastering their steps. Children will explore with paint, oil pastels, clay and other medium to create their own masterpieces. They will complete and take home a different art project each week!Requirements: Clothes that you don't mind getting paint on!Masks will be required when unable to maintain a six foot distance. The room and materials will be sanitized before and after each class.
