Evening yoga & mindfulnessImagine ending your workday with a small group class geared towards your total relaxation and well being. Class begins with optional essential oils/lotion as you enter the yoga studio like environment with soft lights twinkling and relaxing background music playing. You are already feeling relaxed just entering this wonderful space…but there is more!Dawn will then lead you through a gentle, slow flow yoga planned carefully to help the body and mind release tension. Modifications are offered during all classes so that new students as well as seasoned yogis or yoginis can benefit from this nurturing practice.Breathing techniques designed to alleviate stress both on and off the mat (in the real world, where let's face it most stress happens) will be taught and practiced.Classes will incorporate the principles of mediation and mindfulness. The goal of this class is that you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and centered when you leave class. Additionally these skills can often help you to manage situational stress/anxiety/tension as it occurs once you step off your mat and head back into the real world.Morning Yoga Let Dawn guide you through gentle yoga moves that are perfect for all levels. Learn breathing and relaxation techniques to take off the mat and out into the real world. Enjoy some stretching and leave class feeling calm and rejuvenated! Donna has over 15 years of hands-on canine training experience. PUPPY The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. The S.T.A.R. puppy program includes the following: basic puppy-raising information (jumping, house training, nipping...) , basic obedience skills, how to better communicate and understand the language of dogs, and what is needed for responsible pet ownership. This program is designed for dogs less than 7 months in age who have not had any prior group experience. BASIC OBEDIENCE 1/TWEENER Is your dog 7 months or older and never attended a basic obedience class? Then this is the group class for you! The tweener class will cover all basic obedience skills (including how to infuse these skills as part of everyday life), how to better communicate with and understand the language of dogs, and what is needed for responsible pet ownership. *This is not a reactive dog class. Each dog needs to be privately evaluated by the instructor. Basic Obedience 2 Has your dog completed either the S.T.A.R. Puppy or Tweener Class and you're looking for the next level of training? Irish Step Dance classes are taught by sister duo, Catie and Hali from Thorne Academy of Irish Dance.All level class:This class is open to all students of all skill level. Focus on mastering Jigs, reels and traditional set dances. This class is focused on fun and fancy footwork! Information will be provided regarding Class costumes and shoes.Champs class:Level: Pre-Open Level-Bun Grad CHeavy focus on Hard shoe and advanced choreography.This class is for competitive dancers that are preparing for the 2021 Provincial Championships.Requirements: Class size is limited to 12 dancers so we can safely follow social distancing protocol. Class will be held inside the building. Face masks are required when we are inside. Florals & Succulents Workshop with Susan Spanger of Bloomful Floral DesignSunday, April 25, 20212:00-3:30pm$65 per participant (90 minutes includes tutorial and all materials and supplies) With Spring in the air, come join us for a fun afternoon of floral arranging with some new twists! Succulent plants are everywhere—in home décor magazines, on social media and displayed on people’s windowsills.  This class provides an opportunity to hone your floral design skills, experiment with the tape method and incorporate succulents for a trendy touch. Your arrangements will also be full of the best of the season, including anemone, garden roses and snapdragons in vibrant colors.  *All ages and levels welcome. Two people can work together and pay for one booking**Masks will be required, materials will be sanitized and participants will have social distancing.

Come and dance to the music of fairy tale princesses while learning the fundamentals of basic ballet and ballet terminology. Parents are invited to stay and watch their "princesses" perform! Feel free to dress up in ballet attire and/or your favorite character, or comfy clothes are ok. We accept all skill levels.Requirements: Anyone that is 3 years old and up must wear a mask, only one guardian will be allowed to accompany their child, ballet shoes are encouraged.  Coordinator: Lindsey Rourke Burk

Children will explore with paint, oil pastels, clay and other medium to create their own masterpieces. They will complete and take home a different art project each week!Requirements: Clothes that you don't mind getting paint on!Masks will be required when unable to maintain a six foot distance. The room and materials will be sanitized before and after each class. Evening yoga & mindfulnessImagine ending your workday with a small group class geared towards your total relaxation and well being. The room and materials will be sanitized before and after each class. PUPPY The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. The S.T.A.R. puppy program includes the following: basic puppy-raising information (jumping, house training, nipping...) , basic obedience skills, how to better communicate and understand the language of dogs, and what is needed for responsible pet ownership. This program is designed for dogs less than 7 months in age who have not had any prior group experience. BASIC OBEDIENCE 1/TWEENER Is your dog 7 months or older and never attended a basic obedience class? Then this is the group class for you! The tweener class will cover all basic obedience skills (including how to infuse these skills as part of everyday life), how to better communicate with and understand the language of dogs, and what is needed for responsible pet ownership. *This is not a reactive dog class. Each dog needs to be privately evaluated by the instructor. Basic Obedience 2 Has your dog completed either the S.T.A.R. Puppy or Tweener Class and you're looking for the next level of training? Then this is the group class for you! The Basic Obedience 2 class is the next step of basic obedience skills taught in either the Star Puppy or Tweener Class.Canine Good Citizen ClassThe Canine Good Citizen Course (CGC) is designed to recognize dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. This nationally recognized program stresses responsible dog ownership for owners, good manners for dogs, and formalized basic obedience training. All dogs who pass the 10 CGC evaluation may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. *This is not a reactive dog class. Each dog needs to be privately evaluated by the instructor in terms of temperament and basic obedience skills.

Children and parents learn to play, sing, create and laugh together while romping to music, exploring our indoor play land, and meeting new friends. This program helps children develop sensory awareness and build motor skills. If needed, siblings are welcome to attend, but for safety reasons, they are not permitted on any of the equipment.Requirements: Guardians must be present, anyone 3 and older must wear a maskCoordinator: Michele GasiewskiFebruary 26: Snow day/make-up class if needed

7:30 PM - 9:30 PM    Badminton - Badminton - Friday
We welcome all levels of players. Wear sneakers and bring your own racket.  The top priority is to make sure everyone is safe and healthy while enjoying the fun of playing badminton. The following rules are strictly enforced throughout the program. Must wear mask at all times Observe social distancing; keep at least 6 feet apart if not with the same family Use sanitizer, if provided, to clean your hands frequently Bring your own racket Serve only with the shuttlecock assigned to you Do not touch the shuttlecocks assigned to others; Push/hit back the shuttlecock with the racket to the other player for him/her to serve After each game, return your shuttlecock to the designated area so that it will be sanitized for the next game If you play doubles, try your best to minimize the switching of partners Player must pay for the monthly session in advance via the Parks and Recreation website to avoid handling cash exchange Any participant, including guardian or friend, who does not comply with any of the above rules is subject to leaving the Parks and Recreation facilities immediately when informed by the program coordinator, Parks and Recreation staff or New Milford town authorities Coordinator: Kamkeung Ho, Mark Pernerewski
