  • Open Registration for available boat slips will begin Friday, Feb. 26th from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm at the New Milford Parks & Rec. Office (JPCC, 2 Pickett District Road)
    Slips are on a first come/first served basis.
    • Create a household account if you do not already have one (see directions link below) or add the applicant's name as a member of the existing account if not listed. 
    • Masks must be worn & 6’ social distancing is required. 
    • Only one person per slip will be allowed to enter the building for registration. 
    • Show two forms of proof of New Milford Residency at registration (Driver's license, utility bill, mortgage or property tax bill, or rental agreement (Minimum 1 year lease). 
    • Copy of the current Connecticut boat registration. (Please note: Must be a current Connecticut registration in the applicant's name. We can only register one person per boat slip.) 
    • Payment of cash, check or Visa/MasterCard (3% non-refundable processing fee applies): Regular = $1,500.  Seniors 65+ by 05/31/21 = $1,435.

  • The New Milford Parks and Recreation Department does not provide accident insurance coverage for any of our programs or activities. Participants are advised to carry a personal accident insurance policy to protect them in the event of an injury.

Welcome to New Milford Parks & Recreation

The safety of our participants and staff is our top priority at Parks and Recreation. We will continue to follow the state and local policies and regulations regarding social distancing, mask wearing, hand sanitizing, as well as sanitizing our equipment and facilities. Because of the uncertainty of COVID-19, program dates, times and number of participants are subject to change. Thank you for your understanding as we try our best to provide quality leisure opportunities in a safe and healthy atmosphere.

With the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus, we are following the mandates and recommendations from federal, state, and town officials, including the CDC. We are doing all that we can to keep our facilities as sanitary as possible, all of our programs are continuing to run.

What New Milford Parks and Recreation is doing:
  • Disinfecting door knobs, counter tops, sinks, and faucets throughout the day.
  • Disinfecting equipment throughout the day.
  • Placing hand sanitizers throughout program areas.
  • Staying in constant contact with the Health Department.
  • Enforcing social distancing.
How you can help:
  • Wear a mask.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Please Note: Credit Card (Debit Card) processing fees are charged via third party, unrelated to our program fees and non-refundable.  All other fees and league deposits for youth, teen, adult & family programs are non-refundable unless a program is canceled.  If a program is canceled, an account credit will be placed to your account unless a refund request is submitted in writing. A $25 processing fee will be charged for all returned checks. If false information is given on a registration form, you may be asked to leave the program with no refund.
