  • Lynn Deming Season Pass sales begin 7:30 am, Sat., May 29, 2021 at Lynn Deming Park, 134 Candlewood Lake Road North. (New Milford Residents Only)  

    Passes are NOT AVAILABLE For Purchase at the Park and Rec. Office.

  • BOAT SLIP RENTERS - IMPORTANT DATES
     
    • May 3rd  Boat slip/vehicle passes can be picked up Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
      • Current boat registration must be presented or on file with us.
      • Vehicle must be present for park pass.
    • May 14th – Boats may be installed in slips. 
    • May 21st – Boat slip & vehicle pass pick up ends at 3:30 pm. 
    • May 22nd – A large event may be held at Lynn Deming Park.  Please try to avoid installing your boats on this date.
    • May 29th – Additional vehicle sticker sales begin (only sold at Lynn Deming).
    • Oct 10th – Boats must be removed from slips.
    • Oct 11th - $25 per day late fee begins for boats remaining in slips.

    New Milford residents only: Please click here or contact the office parkandrec@newmilford.org to request a form to be placed on the waiting list for the 2021 season. People on the waiting list do not have preference of boat slips and will be offered a slip if and when one becomes available, provided the slip can accommodate their vessel.

  • Kayak/Canoe/Paddle Board Rack Slots for the 2021 Season Have Been Filled

Welcome to New Milford Parks & Recreation

New Milford Parks and Recreation is proud to provide you with our activity registration system and website. To get started please create an account with all your household information. The data provided (emergency contacts, medical information, etc.) will help us better serve you. This info will also be automatically placed into your registration forms.

When you’re ready to start registering for activities, be sure to review the "How to Register for an Activity" page.
Please Note: Credit Card (Debit Card) processing fees are charged via third party, unrelated to our program fees and non-refundable.  All other fees and league deposits for youth, teen, adult & family programs are non-refundable unless a program is canceled.  If a program is canceled, an account credit will be placed to your account unless a refund request is submitted in writing. A $25 processing fee will be charged for all returned checks. If false information is given on a registration form, you may be asked to leave the program with no refund.

Our Mission

The mission of the New Milford Parks and Recreation Department is to provide quality leisure opportunities in a safe and healthy atmosphere and to enhance the quality of life of the community through the responsible management of parks, recreation activities and natural resources. To meet these ends, the Parks and Recreation Department attempts to provide safe and wholesome recreational services of both a passive and active nature. Our goal is to create a balance of activities, special events and programs for any and all segments of the population.

COVID-19
The safety of our participants and staff is our top priority at Parks and Recreation. We will continue to follow the state and local policies and regulations regarding social distancing, mask wearing, hand sanitizing, as well as sanitizing our equipment and facilities. Because of the uncertainty of COVID-19, program dates, times and number of participants are subject to change. Thank you for your understanding as we try our best to provide quality leisure opportunities in a safe and healthy atmosphere.

With the impact of the COVID-19, we are following the mandates and recommendations from federal, state, and town officials, including the CDC. We are doing all that we can to keep our facilities as sanitary as possible, all of our programs are continuing to run.

What New Milford Parks and Recreation is doing:
  • Disinfecting door knobs, counter tops, sinks, and faucets throughout the day.
  • Disinfecting equipment throughout the day.
  • Placing hand sanitizers throughout program areas.
  • Staying in constant contact with the Health Department.
  • Enforcing social distancing.
How you can help:
  • Wear a mask.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
